Festival Life- EDM Edition

EDC is an AMAZING festival! If you ever get the chance to go I would highly recommend it! EDC has some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They live by the idea of PLUR (peace love unity respect), everyone is there looking out for each other and it is so easy to make friends if you choose to go by yourself or with a group. It is so easy to just strike up a conversation with people in line about who you are looking forward to seeing and finding out where everyone is from is always interesting. The worst thing about the festival is the drive there! The drivers are the worst! My boyfriend and I have a running joke that PLUR has no place when driving to and from this festival. There are people driving down the sides of the roads to try and pass traffic jams and then expect to be let back over in the correct lane. It is not uncommon to see a million cops on the way there trying to keep people in their vehicles and making sure everyone gets there safely. *Tip: Before you leave y...

Zedd played at  WaMu  Theater in Seattle, Washington on September 30th. When you walked into WaMu you walked right into the stage area. This was very strange in comparison to how other shows have been set up. It was like you walked in and you were right there where the music was. I personally was not a fan. I understand it was a smaller show then the last time I was at WaMu for DADA LAND. When I first walked in I thought that was maybe where one of the openers was playing on the stage and around the corner was the main stage where we would be watch Zedd play. However, it was the main stage and it was a little off putting, to say the least. I got there too late to hear any of the opening DJs; which is always fun to hear new music, so Zedd was on right away. Zedd always throws down at any show. I would highly recommend going to one of his shows if you have never been to a rave, or an EDM show. His music is more neutral and not that "wob wob wob" bass that everyone seems to asso...

Ultra Music Festival  is a festival in Miami, Florida every March. Ultra is located in the center of downtown right on the bay front. I was lucky enough to go this last March (2017) over spring break. Ultra is known in the EDM world as the beginning of the festival season. At Ultra there were six stages. The main stage was in the center right off the bay front. Below are four of the six stages. Electric Daisy Carnival  EDC is a three day festival in Las Vegas, Nevada held on the speedway by Insomniac Events. EDC is from 6pm until 6am Friday-Sunday, typically the 3rd or 4th weekend in June.
